The first thing I did was to revisit the salescopy for the product I was promoting to see if my copy was congruent with the market that product was targeting.

Secondly I took careful note to make sure that I was targeting the right keywords in my copy without sounding like some zealot affiliate groupie.

It’s very easy to get excited about a product and unwittingly go off singing praises about all the wonderful things it can do without considering all the things it can’t or won’t do.

So I made those adjustments where I needed to and something else I did to lend to the credibility of my copy was to strip away any unnecessary graphics that would make it look like another biased affiliate review site and…

Still nothing happened.

Until…

About a month out after letting it bounce around on the first three pages of Google for the product keyword the site started to produce income.

Now if that wasn’t a pleasant surprise in and of itself, it went from making a sale a week to making two and three sales per week and I didn’t offer any bonuses!

So the point of the story is that if you want to start making money with internet marketing, then instead of scrapping every project because it doesn’t produce instant results right away, go back and carefully analyze where you can make improvements.

Make the adjustments and let it rip. Success online comes with a lot of testing and tweaking and you’ll know when you’ve hit the sweet spot because you will start generating income.
