There are a lot of products on the market that will show you how to get into the mind of your prospects and some of them are pretty good, but there is an even more effective way to accomplish this. It’s far more deadly and your customers will literally think you’ve got some kind of super guru mind power that enables you to tap into their deepest desires and concerns.
One of the biggest affiliate marketing secrets is to become a customer in the niche your marketing to. Once you become a customer in the niche your marketing to you’ll be able to see what it is that concerns them the most, what they are afraid of and what it is they are desiring to achieve right now.
Whatever the hot product in your niche is at the moment will reveal to you exactly what people are asking for and want to know more about. The fact that it’s a hot selling product tells you immediately what you should be focusing on in order to effectively sell your own or similar affiliate products.
It’s a lot like guru recon. You are basically infiltrating your competitors camp and leveraging their research and time to piggy back off of the hit that’s moving the crowd.
The key here is not to come up with something so unique that you’d have to go through the time consuming process of market testing to find out if it will work or not. Why not leverage the efforts of others and shortcut the amount of time it takes to get into profit?
By being a customer in your niche, you can also examine the sales process, do marketers in this niche use OTO’s? What kind of information products are they selling? Video? Audio? Do they use upsells, downsells? What kind of backend products are they promoting?
Instead of blazing a trail, it may be just a little easier to walk along a path that’s already been tried and tested. The only difference is that instead of giving away your money all the time, you’ll actually be able to create a system that channels cash flow into your pocketbook.
