Article Marketing and Your Main Objective
Article marketing is definitely a great way to market your website, especially when you’re just starting out, but what should be your main objective?
Naturally the main objective for any marketing in connection with your website is to get traffic, but when it comes to article marketing, there are many different benefits that are derived from this method of advertising.
One of the benefits of writing and submitting articles to directories is the amount of backlinks you can get pointing to your websites from reputable high page rank sites.
What makes those links so powerful is the fact that they are “one way links” meaning that you don’t have to link back to the site and pass the page rank back to the linking site. That’s cool, but that’s not the main objective.
With article marketing you can establish yourself as an expert in the eyes of your audience and build credibility and a good reputation for delivering useful content. That’s nice, but that’s not the main objective either.
The main objective for engaging in article marketing is the amount of traffic that you can get from:
1. The article directories themselves
2. The search engines
I remember when I was learning about article marketing and what the benefits were, the information I was looking at stressed the credibility and backlinking factors but never really focused on the obvious benefit of immediate targeted traffic.
That’s the beauty of article marketing, because once you’re article is approved, if you’ve researched keywords that get a reasonable amount of traffic than you will begin to see traffic coming to your site instantly.
Targeted traffic from article directories is probably some of the most responsive traffic that you’ll get simply because your readers are already interested in the subject matter you’re writing about and will be more likely to buy or subscribe once they reach your website.
