How To Become A Guru Marketer In Your Niche

guruWouldn’t it be great to become the “goto” guy in your market? Imagine the amount of influence you could wield with that kind of leverage.

Well I’ll tell you what, it really isn’t that hard to develop that persona, IF that’s what you want.

I say IF, because when you become the “goto” guy/gal, it’s very easy to get bombarded with lots of questions and a demand for a response which could bite into your time.

However if you’re up for it, here’s what you gotta do. I hope you’re ready for this, well ready or not here goes…

Associate with other Guru’s in your market. How? Interview them.

But what if you’re an introvert (like me) who’s a bit shy about approaching people?

Interview them by email.

Prepare a list of questions that you think your readers or subscribers would benefit getting the answers to and send a simple request to the Guru’s in your niche.

Your letter could be something as simple as:

Dear Mr./Mrs. Guru,

My name is ______ and I would like to know if would be available for a brief email interview.

I’ve been on your list or bought your products and think my subscribers/readers would

benefit greatly from your expertise and experience.

Here are a short list of questions I’ve put together and if you would like to add or subtract

anything please feel free to do so.

Well that’s one quick and painless way to build your credibility in your niche and become “famous by association”. Put together a list of experts that you would like to contact and contact them.

You can turn the interview into a short report or post it on your blog. You can send an email to your list with a link to your interview followed by an affiliate link to purchase “said Gurus” latest product.
