How To Keep Readers Coming Back To Your Blog
If you look around the internet for ways to keep readers coming back to your blog, one of the things you’ll notice are long lists that tell you how to get your readers to come back and visit your blog over and over again. But you know what I don’t see?
Any talk about keeping your posts brief so as not to overwhelm your readers with so much information that they don’t want to come back.
Now it is true that if you put enough content on your blog laced with enough of the right keywords, the search engines are going to rank your blog for a variety of keywords but…
If your posts are long and drawn out, the likelihood that your readers are going to stick around to read the wonderful information that you worked hard to post is nil.
One thing that’s important to take into consideration is the fact that people are busy. If you’re content can get right to the point and give your readers what they are looking for, the more likely they’ll come back to see what else you have to say, because they know their eyeballs won’t get hijacked into reading a 2000 w0rd post that does more to impress the search engines then the readers.
On average about 300-400 words is usually sufficient enough to get the job done and keep your readers interested in returning.
So if you’ve got a bulleted list that you want to break down in order to feed your readers the information their looking for, keep it brief and break up your posts to get your message across.
