Marketing Your Internet Business – Getting The Attention of Your Target Market
The internet is continually mushrooming into a massive wave of opportunity and even with minimal marketing skills anyone can get started and see profits. While that’s not such a bad thing, there is still a need for you to stand out from the competition when it comes to marketing your internet business. Here’s how…
I’m going to give you a short list of things you can do to, that will help you to get the attention of your target market, but here’s why this is so important:
- Crowded Email Inboxes
- Similar Products on the Market
- Me Too Websites and Blogs
If you are on several marketers list or you join one of the safelist thigamajiggers or you’re a member of any number of viral list builders, you know how easy it is to find your inbox filled with emails.
You can easily amass 5k – 10k emails very quickly, especially if you don’t clean out your inbox often.
If you’re marketing products as an affiliate you’re easily competing with hundreds if not thousands of other affiliates for a piece of the same pie. The same goes for marketing MRR (master resell rights) products. Once you settle on some products you want to market all you’ve got to do is a quick search on Google to find a good number not only competing with you but selling the same product for $1.50.
Because it’s so easy to start a blog with blogger or wordpress, every body and their brother is publishing similar information to yours in whatever niche you’re in. Right?
Hey there’s nothing wrong with that, after all as I mentioned in the outset the internet marketing opportunity is exploding and despite the amount of competition that exists, the market itself is far bigger than the perceived number of marketers currently online.
So let me give a few things you can do to stand out from all the competition and grab the lions’ share of this exploding opportunity and then I’ll tell you why it’s crucial that you take these suggestions to heart.
- Brand yourself – Make an effort to put your name on every piece of cyber real estate you own. Whether it’s a free blog, self hosted wordpress blog or static website, put your name on it.
- Find or take a decent snapshot of yourself and put it on your squeeze pages, sales letters, blogs, social networking profiles and your website.
- Start creating short reports with your website url and your picture in them for viral marketing purposes. Distribute your reports with giveaway rights in Giveaway events, use sites like upload.com as well as other torrent sharing sites to get your brand out there.
- Start thinking in terms of flooding the internet with your brand by writing or outsourcing hundreds of articles for distribution as well as software sites.
- Go beyond creating one or two videos and start thinking in terms of submitting hundreds of videos for generating massive exposure to your internet business.
Now this may sound like a lot of work, but if you setup a regular marketing and promotion schedule this is not as hard as it sounds.
So here’s why this is so crucial especially at this point in time:
- Establish Long term Relationships with your Market
- Repeat Business From Massive Exposure
- Quality content creates a memorable experience
- Name Recognition in the Market place
You see, if you work out a marketing and promotion plan that exposes you as far and wide as possible within your market, the likelihood of getting, retaining and amassing more business will start to take on a life of it’s own and when you’re prospects and customers see your name in the email inbox, the probability of them opening your email versus the thousands of others flooding their inbox increases by 1000%.
Now in addition to the suggestions mentioned above another excellent way to establish yourself fast is to work at developing relationships with other marketers in your niche. Not only will this increase your exposure quickly, but if the marketer you’re working with has a decent level of credibility in the marketplace than you’re likely to be guilty by association and raise the perception of your value in the eyes of your audience 100 fold.
See you in a bit,
