Quick Market Testing Tactics That Increase Profits

market testingHave you ever had an idea wake you up out of bed? I mean to the point that you could almost right it down word for word because the details rolling around in your head were so vivid? Well what did you do about it?

A lot of times when people get these bright ideas they immediately go into “that’s not gonna work” mode and put the fire out, but how do you know it won’t work?

The majority of the successes that come to people online happen mostly as a result of two things…

1. Inspiration

2. Perspiration

So how can you take advantage of these moments when they hit? Well if you’re operating as an affiliate here’s a simple plan you can use to see if the idea will be profitable.

1. Check Google to see if people are paying for advertising on the keyword that describes the market or product your thinking about.

2. If there is some profitability there, create a subdomain and put up a blog or static site with relevant keywords and content.

3. Find a product in clickbank to promote that best fits the content for that particular market and make sure the gravity is somewhere between 60-100 and hyperlink certain keywords to the product.

4. Write one article and make a video out of it, submit it to a few directories, you know the usual suspects like EZA, Goarticles, Article Dashboard, Isnare and Ideamarketers.

5. Bookmark your site using social marker to as many sites as you can

6. If you put up a blog, submit the rss feed to several directories. Just Google “rss directories” and you’ll find a bunch of them.

Set up Google analytics on your blog or static site and monitor your traffic. Now you don’t have to spend a lot of time on this site, you can do this for maybe four or five days. Also check your clickbank stats to see how many hops your getting, who knows you may even get a sale quickly enough and if you do then drop a marketing bomb on it for more profits.

Here’s the beauty of this quick market testing scenario, you can do this for any market and if nothing is happening after 4 or 5 days, go build another one. HOWEVER…

Don’t forget to check back from time to time on the ones you put out there, because sometimes results come a little later than expected and once you see a blip on the radar screen, that’s when you need to go and ramp up your traffic efforts.

Now there is another way to test a market to see if you can pull some profits from it. I’ll talk about that in the next post.
