Want to stay in business? Drive Traffic

Once you’ve been at this for a little while it becomes readily apparent how important it is to get traffic to your website. But it’s bigger than just making a few sales and here’s why…

Nowadays there are a lot of really good membership sites that provide important products and services that can help you to build your internet business at light speed, but these memberships are not free sooo…

Unless you want to keep paying for your memberships out of your pocket independent of whatever commissions or direct payments you receive by paypal, you’re going to do one of two things.

1. Spend yourself out of business

2. Go out of business without notice because once you can’t pay your hosting bill or your autoresponder bill, it’s a lot like the electric bill, if you can’t pay… they cut it off.

It really doesn’t take much to start making money online in terms of capital but if your work ethic leaves a little to be desired than no matter what program you buy or membership you join, you will still go broke.

However if you’re the kind of person who can sit down and focus on getting as much traffic to your site as humanly possible in the beginning stages than your chance of survival immediately increases.

So if you’re finding yourself in a quagmire about what to do to keep the doors open and the lights on for your internet marketing business, ask yourself:

“What did I do to get traffic to my site today?”

and then ask yourself:

“Was what I did significant enough to have a positive financial impact on my business?”

I’ve heard some people talk about writing an article a week and that’s insane. I mean hey, if your business is just a hobby to you, that’s great, more power to ya.

But if you’re really seriously considering making a living on the internet you’ve got to hammer out articles on a daily basis. Forget about the latest and greatest thigamajig and what it promises to do, because it ain’t about them…

It’s about you.

So whatever method you’re using to get traffic to your site, set an ambitious goal to reach on a daily basis and block out everything until you’re done for the day.

Well that’s my rant for the day. What do you think? Leave a comment.
